Welcome to our BLOG for Crone Craft Studios! We’re a small, home based studio of 2 fiber artists whose passion is playing with fiber in all kinds of forms. Barbara knits, spins, weaves, quilts, crochets, felts dyes. Mary knits, felts, weaves – particularly on the triangle loom – spins and dyes. We are retired from the non fiber world and enjoying the chance to reinvent ourselves in fiber.

We weave a variety of shawls, ruanas, shrugs and delightful little creatures called Wild Women with a story to tell. Hand knit socks and caps are our down time activities. When we are not weaving, we can be found dyeing yarns and fabric for quilting and spinning. Check out our work through this site.

We’ll be bringing you ideas, inspirations, new things to try and the latest fiber news we have discovered as Roving Reporters. We’re located in Tucson, Arizona so we spend a lot of time in our air conditioned studio in the summer. Yes, it’s hot but at least you don’t have to shovel it off your driveway! It’s a great time to get a lot of work done for our busy fall shows.
